The Clash for the Cash: CEO vs. Average Joe
"By 12:00 noon January 3, the first official working day of the year, Canada’s Elite 100 CEOs already pocketed $44,366 — what it takes the Average Joe an entire year, working full-time, to earn."
“Law and Order was shooting an episode about Occupy Wall Street, and the production team built a perfect replica of Zucotti Park, as it was before the brutal eviction of the protesters by NYPD. So members of the original Occupy camp went and occupied it.”
“I have my own army in the NYPD, which is the seventh biggest army in the world.”
“Oi just in me cups a bit, havin’ a sit, takin’ the old load off me shoulders. Who’re these fellers traipsin’ down the walkway? They’re wearin’ all white! It’s well past Labour Day! What in the blue blazes are they thinkin’? I got half a mind to give ol’ Stacy and Clinton a call and sort these lads out right properAUUAHGGAHAGGHHAHAGHAGHGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”
I’m loving this song right now and it’s the first mainstream Occupy music video I’ve seen: “Don’t Fuck With My Money” by Penguin Prison.
Foolish or funny? Best Buy urges shoppers to “join the fight” and “camp out at Best Buy”. Oh how I hope some enterprising young Occupiers take them up on their offer.
damn! if only this was real!
Andy Baio says: “I was stunned and appalled by the UC Davis Police spraying protestors, but struck by how many brave, curious people recorded the events. I took the four clearest videos and synchronized them. Citizen journalism FTW.”
I found this difficult to watch, but it certainly shows the falsehood of UC Davis Police Chief Annette Spicuzza’s statement that the officers felt threatened by the protesters.
Pike’s Corner is where Lt. John Pike helps you solve all of your life issues, Dear Abby-style. Spoiler alert: a good pepper-spraying is the solution to most problems.
